Hyderabad, Feb. 18: Tamil Nadu continued their winning streak in the ongoing South Zone one-day cricket tournament defeating Hyderabad by 92 runs to register their third successive win.
After electing to bat first, a 210-run fourth-wicket partnership between S. Badrinath (134) and Vidyut Sivaramakrishna (101) helped Tamil Nadu post a mammoth 342/6 in 50 overs after they had won the toss and opted to bat. A.B. Karthik (63) also provided useful contribution as Tamil Nadu posted a huge total despite a five-wicket haul from Hyderabad's S M Shoeib.
This was the second century of the tournament for S Badrinath who scored 122 in the previous match against Kerala. Chasing the target, Hyderabad were managed to reach 250/7 in their 50 overs, with Anup Pai (67) and Abhinav Kumar (57) giving some respect to their total with a 110-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
