Men in ‘dark’ blues

BY OUR CORRESPONDENT

Mumbai, Feb. 18: Team India’s jersey sponsors Nike unveiled a new team kit on Wednesday, as Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men prepare to fly out to New Zealand.

The new jersey is in a darker shade than the present sky-blue which will remain the alternative kit. A dry fit fabric has been used for the new jersey. The fabric does not stick to players’ bodies even in sweaty conditions while leaving enough room for ventilation.

"It’s a nice colour and since it’s dark we will surely save our laundry bills," said Dhoni jokingly.

The India skipper added that unlike his ‘Mr Cool’ image, he did get upset at times when a team-mate made fielding mistakes.

"I do get frustrated at times when a mistake is made on the field.

"But I feel there’s no point in abusing him there. I prefer to go back into the dressing room and point out his mistake.
