Sydney, Feb. 23: Opener David Warner smashed a 18-ball fifty as Australia completed their first unbeaten summer in nine years with an emphatic eight-wicket win in the second Twenty20 match against West Indies here on Tuesday.
Chasing a modest 139 for victory, the explosive left-hander blasted seven sixes and five fours on his way to 67 off 29 balls. Fellow opener Shane Watson was not far behind, notching up his fifty off 26 balls en route to an unbeaten 62. Australia overhauled the target in just 11.4 overs. Earlier, consecutive sixes from Darren Sammy down the order helped the West Indies post 138/7 off their 20 overs. — Agencies
