Bridgetown (Barbados), March 29: Andrew Strauss has predicted that England will bounce back strongly and win the fourth one-day international to level the series against West Indies at the Kensington Oval on Monday.
The England captain has admitted that his side’s eight-wicket defeat under the Duckworth-Lewis Method in the rain-affected third ODI on Friday was "humiliating" and "embarrassing".
England were routed for a modest 117 in 41.3 overs in a match reduced to 44 overs-a-side and the West Indies needed only 14.4 overs to clinch victory.
But Strauss believes that England can recover quickly and throw themselves a lifeline in the series. "My experience is that when we put in these kinds of performances, we always bounce back pretty well. I think we need to dig pretty deep," he said. — AFP
