New Delhi, May 29: The International Cricket Council on Friday announced that the World Twenty20 warm-up match between India and Pakistan at The Oval on June 3 has been designated as a ‘Catch the Spirit’ match.
Funds will be raised to support the families of the victims of the attack on the Sri Lanka team and match officials in Lahore in March, as well as peace and sport projects across the sub-continent.
"The decision to designate the India-Pakistan encounter as a ‘Catch the Spirit’ match follows a recommendation by the ICC board at its most recent meeting in Dubai in April," ICC president David Morgan said in a release.
