Hyderabad, June 24: Two Andhra Cricket Association vice-presidents, who are also state government officials, quit their posts on Wednesday. A.K. Khan, additional DGP (law and order) and M.V.G.K. Bhanu, special secretary to the chief minister, resigned as ACA vice-presidents. Both the officials have sent their resignations to the chief secretary P. Ramakant Reddy and in their letter they urged the state government to take over the ACA.
"I am naturally upset with the developments in the ACA," Khan said. Although disappointed with the twin resignations, ACA president G. Gangaraju said the development would not have any impact on the daily functioning of the association. "Their presence would have definitely helped us. Since they are not involved in the day-to-day functioning, it would not have any immediate impact on us," he said.
