BCCI names four venues for new event

New Delhi, July 27: The Indian cricket control board on Monday said Mohali, Vishakhapatnam, Dharamsala and Bangalore would be the four venues for the BCCI’s inaugural Inter-Corporate Trophy from September 1 to 8.

The 12 teams taking part in the tournament have been divided into four groups of three each with the league phase to be held from September 1 to 3.

The two semifinals on September 5 and 6 will be held in Mohali and Bangalore, followed by the final on September 8 in Bangalore.

The winning team will receive Rs 1 crore, while the runners-up will get Rs 50 lakhs. "All international players employed with the participating teams, will figure in the event," said BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan said in a press release.
