Mumbai, Sept. 1: Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been the best celebrity for fulfilling wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
"Sachin Tendulkar has fulfilled the highest number of wishes, 30 in number, in the last 10 years," according to Nehal Parekh, national coordinator of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of India, which tries to fulfill wishes of terminally-ill children. "The number of wishes fulfilled by Sachin in the last year itself are seven," she added.
The next in line to meet the cricketer is 13-year-old Nimish U. Chopdekar, who is suffering from muscular dystrophy, and has expressed a wish to meet Tendulkar.
Eleven-year-old boy, named Satwik, who is suffering from a disease called AML, has expressed a desire to meet Rahul Dravid.
Giving statistics of total celebrity wishes fulfilled in the last year, Ms Parekh said that "out of 49 wishes Bollywood stars have fulfilled 33 and sportspersons 12."
