Hyderabad, Sept. 6: The police had a tough time controlling the huge crowd that turned up at the Gymkhana Grounds to watch Sourav Ganguly, who is representing Bengal in the match against Mumbai in the Moin ud Dowla Gold Cup Cricket Championship here. Being a holiday, cricket fans came in hordes and took every vantage point around the fenced grounds. Many of them had barged into the pavilion area.
Chants of Ganguly Zindabad rent the air as the former Indian captain turned his arm against the rival batsmen. Ganguly bowled his 13 overs, of which six were maiden, in four spells. He claimed two wickets for 13 runs. After tea, policemen restored order by sending out most of the fans from the pavilion area.
