Kochi, Sept. 24: Two Keralite mothers were particularly overjoyed by India’s victory in the inaugural Twenty20 World Championship at distant Johannesburg — after all, their sons S. Sreesanth and Robin Uthappa had done the country proud.
Sreesanth’s home here was crowded with well wishers and a battery of media persons. "God is great and he has heard our prayers," Sreesanth’s mother Devi said, tears of joy streaming down her face.
"He gave away lots of runs, but he took the catch that saw India win. God is really great. I am mighty pleased he is my son," Devi added. (IANS)
