Johannesburg, Sept. 29: Injuries continued to dog teams participating in the ongoing 2009 Champions Trophy here and on Tuesday came news that Australia's Michael Clarke and Darryl Tuffey of New Zealand have been ruled out of any further action here.

Tuffey was replaced with a broken hand ahead of Tuesday's crucial Group B league match against England by Ian Butler, who joined in the demolition job the Kiwis carried out on England at the Wanderers.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia's medical staff on Tuesday confirmed Australian vice-captain Clarke will return home due to a lower back injury.
