New Delhi, Oct. 3: Bangladesh spinner Mohammed Rafique says he will miss a duel against former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who has been ignored for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
"It is a big challenge bowling to Sourav (Ganguly) and I am really going to miss him," Rafique said.
"He is an excellent player of spin bowling and the way he comes down the track and spanks spinners for sixes is really a treat to watch," the left-arm spinner said in awe of the Bengal batsman.
Ganguly, who has been out of form, is currently playing the Challenger Series in Chennai in his effort to stage a comeback to the Indian team.
"I still believe that he can make his way into the side, but to some extent it would depend on the selectors as well. Hopefully, I will give him a tough time in the World Cup next year," said Rafique, who received the Best All-rounder and the Best Cricketer of the Bangladesh board this year.
About Bangladesh’s chances in the Champions Trophy, he said: "Realistically, we have not come here to be champions but to prove that we have improved and can give a good fight to others."
