Chennai, Oct. 8: Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand on Sunday said he still harbours a desire to win the world championship next year at Mexico, six years after clinching the title at Teheran.
"Yes, I very much want to be the world champion again. This will be the most important event for me. I’ll train hard for Mexico," he said in response to a query at a programme ‘Anand versus everybody’ at Vidya Sagar, an NGO working for the inclusion of persons with disability into society, here.
For Anand, important events like the Corus championship and the Linares event are there prior to the world championship. "But the Mexico event is the most important one," he said.
