Nagpur, Oct. 8: Fresh from their win against Sialkot, an injury-ridden Uttar Pradesh will lock horns with Rest of India in the Irani Cup cricket match commencing at the Vidarbha Cricket Association ground here on Monday.
Ranji Trophy champions Uttar Pradesh, who won the inaugural Mohd Nissar Trophy at Dharamshala, will take field without three international stars skipper Mohd Kaif, Suresh Raina and R.P. Singh.

Uttar Pradesh coach Rajendra Singh Hans, however maintained that his side has the required confidence to test the best in the country.
The Rest of India side led by India opener Wasim Jaffer have some talent including southpaw Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Venugopal Rao, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthick, seamers Zaheer Khan and Laxmipati Balaji alongwith left arm spinner Murali Kartik in their ranks.
Jaffer, who scored a century in the recent past at this venue in a Test against England, will look forward to underline his claim with another clinical performance.
