Bengaluru, Oct. 16: One of the strongest sides in the Champions League T20 — the Delhi Daredevils — were given an early jolt when they were stunned by Victoria Bushrangers in their very first encounter. Delhi, however, regrouped in time to defeat Wayamba Elevens and secure their place in the league stage.
Now faced with a situation of having to win both their matches in Group B league matches to qualify for the semifinals, the Daredevils are on their toes.
David Saker, the Daredevils coach said his squad were up for the challenge as they take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday. "We are looking forward to it. Probably it is a do-or-die game for both the teams and we are keen to put up a good display against them. In the IPL games, we had some form against them (RCB) and are confident that we can pull off a win on Saturday," the Australian said.
Saker did not believe home conditions would be an advantage for the RCB. "It gives a little bit of advantage but not a major one. Anyway in the T20 format, the best XI on the day wins."
